Pennington Responds to NFIB Endorsement
SANDY SPRINGS, GA, April 29, 2014 – Conservative candidate for Georgia Governor David Pennington released the following statement today in response to the NFIB endorsement.
“It’s clear that the higher-ups in Washington with the National Federation of Independent Business decided to endorse Nathan Deal – not the small business owners of Georgia. I am the only NFIB member running for governor in Georgia. And every day I hear from fellow small business owners who are struggling because of Nathan’s failed promises. Nathan promised to cut the corporate income tax four years ago. He not only broke that promise by doing nothing to change the corporate income tax, but he also has increased taxes and increased spending. Nathan also was endorsed by and received thousands of dollars from the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association – a group that is no friend to the small business owners. As a small business owner, I know what needs to be done to improve Georgia’s economy: allow businesses to prosper by cutting the corporate income tax, cutting the personal income tax and creating manufacturing jobs.”
